New York Red Bulls II are set for the second New York Derby in an eight-day span with New York City FC II at Belson Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. with coverage available on MLS Season Pass with Apple TV.

Starting in net for the second time this season is Red Bulls Academy goalkeeper Alan Rutkowski. The 17-year-old started his first match in a 3-3 draw against Inter Miami CF II at MSU Soccer Park and made two shootout saves to help secure the second point in the standings.

The back line will consist of Omar Valencia, Aidan O’Connor, Copeland Berkley, and Jair Collahuazo, who will be making his first start in MLS NEXT Pro play since signing with the club.

Ronald Donkor and Bento Estrela will be in the defensive midfield role to start the match. Estrela is making his first start in MLS NEXT Pro this season and his second across all competitions in 2024.

The two attacking midfield spots will be occupied by Steven Sserwadda and Ibrahim Kasule. Kasule, the MLS NEXT Pro Player of the Month for March, is making his first appearance since being injured in the club’s match against Inter Miami CF II on March 24.

Up top for Red Bulls II is a familiar tandem in Roald Mitchell and Julian Hall. This is the second consecutive match that the two have played up top in the striker roles. Mitchell currently leads the club with three goals in his three appearances in MLS NEXT Pro play.

The bench will consist of Dallas Odle, Juan Gutierrez, Curtis Ofori, Aiden Jarvis, Dylan Sullivan, Malick Dembele, Rafael Mosquera, Tanner Rosborough, and Frank Ssebufu. This is the first appearance for Curtis Ofori on a match roster since suffering an injury last season. Rafael Mosquera and Tanner Rosborough would make their season debuts if they were to feature in today’s match.
