ROY RULED OUT

As Costa Rica's dream journey in the World Cup continues, Roy Miller's tournament has ended. One day after going the full 90 minutes in Los Ticos' 0-0 draw with England, Miller suffered a leg injury in training, and will miss the rest of the tournament. Despite being ruled out, Miller will stay in Brazil and continue to support Costa Rica, returning to the Red Bulls after Costa Rica's final match.

ON TO THE QUARTERFINALS

On Sunday, Costa Rica made history by downing Greece on penalty kicks and advancing to the quarterfinals of the World Cup for the first time. Fulham midfielder Bryan Ruiz opened up the scoring for Los Ticos in the 52nd minute; with Socratis Papastathopoulos equalizing in stoppage time; and eventually sending the match to penalties.

Costa Rica goalkeeper Keylor Navas saved a Theofanis Gekas PK, giving Micahel Umana a chance to win the match, which he did after converting his penalty and giving Los Ticos a 5-3 victory.
