Saturday's scoreless draw against Sporting Kansas City, combined with a D.C. United win over the Columbus Crew, helped the Red Bulls punch their ticket to the 2012 MLS postseason. With only one match remaining, an Oct. 27 road trip to Philadelphia, the Red Bulls will now battle for a higher seed in a field that includes Sporting Kansas City, D.C. United, Chicago Fire and last year's MLS Cup runner-up, Houston Dynamo.
Tickets for the first home match of the Red Bulls' postseason go on sale to the general public Tues., October 23, at 2pm. Stay up to date on all the latest news surrounding New York's playoff run by visiting the Red Bulls' playoff hub at http://www.newyorkredbulls.com/runwithus.

The Red Bulls came within three minutes of seizing three points on the road at Gillette Stadium after Joel Lindpere headed home the first goal of the match in stoppage time. Then, down a man with just three minutes remaining, the Red Bulls were unable to hang on, as New England's Darrius Barnes delivered the equalizer and sent both teams off the pitch with a point each.
The draw places New York at third place in the Eastern Conference following Chicago's three-point finish over the Columbus Crew in a 2-1 victory at Toyota Park.
New York returns to action Saturday when they host Toronto FC at Red Bull Arena for a 7PM kick off. The first 5,000 fans 12 and under through the gates will receive a free Thierry Henry jersey tee (while supplies last).

The New York Red Bulls struggled to find the back of the net Sunday night as they fell to the New England Revolution 2-0 at Gillette Stadium. The outcome marks only the second time this season the Red Bulls have failed to register a goal, the first coming against Real Salt Lake in the second match of the season back on March 17.
Injured starters aside, the second half brought with it a number of scoring opportunities for New York, including a header attempt by Brandon Barklage that just floated over the crossbar and a rip-roaring shot from Kenny Cooper that bounced off the woodwork (Watch: Cooper's Chance). Goalkeeper Ryan Meara had his work cut out for him on the night, as he was forced to make five saves. The loss brings the Red Bulls' overall record to 9-5-4 and keeps them placed third overall in the Eastern Conference.
The Red Bulls return home for the first match of a three-game home stand at Red Bull Arena July 15 when they host the Seattle Sounders for a 4 PM kickoff.
Chicago comes to town Wednesday, July 18 for a matinee match, before the series of home games closes out with Rivalry Day against Philadelphia on July 21. The first 5,000 fans 16 and under through the gates for the Philly match will receive a free Red Bulls flat-brimmed cap.
