Maduro joins the Red Bulls for his first season in Major League Soccer. Maduro was a standout while at Providence College, playing four impressive seasons for the Friars, becoming only the second player in the school’s history to be named an All-American. The team expects Maduro to compete for playing time in midfield.
Collegiate/Club: Most recently, Maduro played for Forest City London of The USL-PDL, appearing in seven games in 2010. In 2009, he appeared in nine games with USL-PDL side Rhode Island Stingrays.
Maduro played four seasons at Providence College from 2004-07. Started all 20 games as a sophomore in 2005, scoring four goals and leading the team with six assists. Named an All-Big East third team selection. As a junior in 2006, Maduro became just the second Providence player to be named a First Team All-American, and became the first Friar to even be named to the All-Big East First Team. Throughout his four years, he totaled 60 games, 12 goals and 16 assists.
