#AskBarks: Brandon Barklage Answers Your Questions
#AskBarks why did you start playing soccer instead of another sport?
— Nicholas Gentile (@nagentile) March 13, 2013
Brandon Barklage: Well, I grew up playing soccer, baseball and basketball, with baseball being my favorite of the three. But as my career went on I had more success in soccer, so I stuck with it. But I still believe I can hit a home run out of Yankee stadium. You hear that Yankees?

Barklage: Wow, favorite teammate. That’s a tough one. I don’t like to play favorites, but I think Ryan Meara is a very laid back guy, has a lot of decent jokes here and there. I don’t want to build him up too much though.

Barklage: Absolutely. As I said last year, this is a date that I definitely circle on the schedule. Hopefully we come out and play to our full potential and get three points against a quality D.C. side.

Barklage: (laughs) What?!
#AskBarksNo question, just.... "St. Louis thinks your awesome"!

Barklage: Hey! Hi grandma!

Barklage: I’m going to have to go with Ruben [Bover]. All he does is speak in Spanish and his volume level is always set at 35 on a scale of 1-10.

Barklage: I always have a ham and cheese omelet with tomatoes in it, on top of two pieces of buttered toast. Random, but effective.

Barklage: It’s always good to have competition on the team. It means you can’t take a day off. And the depth of the team, combined with that competition, is only going to make the squad better in the long run.

Barklage: I’m not trying to repeat. I’m trying to score three this time! But in all seriousness, it was one of the greatest feelings I’ve had in my career. I’ll take three points over three goals any day.

Barklage: Shout out to Jeff Agnello at City Looks Barbershop in Little Falls, NJ. Ask him. He’s the genius behind this crop.
— Agustin Chafloque (@timchafloque) March 13, 2013
Barklage: These days I’m really loving the right back position. I’m feeling more and more comfortable every day, but I’ll play anywhere the team needs me.
