Tim Cahill to Visit to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® Monday

Red Bulls and Australian star to make the trip to world-renowned facility in Memphis

On Monday, New York Red Bulls midfielder Tim Cahill will visit the children at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, located in Memphis, Tenn. Cahill will spend time visiting with patients, their families and staff at St. Jude, hoping to lift the spirits of the children.

St. Jude, founded in 1962, is a pediatric treatment and research facility focused on children's cancer and other deadly diseases. St. Jude is one of the world’s premier pediatric cancer research centers. Its mission is to find cures and save children with cancer and other deadly diseases through research and treatment. St. Jude is internationally recognized for its pioneering research and treatment and is ranked one of the best pediatric cancer hospitals in the country. St. Jude is the first and only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children.

Other notable celebrities who have visited the children, or are ambassadors for St. Jude include basketball legend Michael Jordan and comedian George Lopez.

The National Basketball Association, its teams and players also support St. Jude. The Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, New Orleans Pelicans, Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns, Memphis Grizzlies, Dallas Mavericks, and Sacramento Kings are among the teams that have visited the children. NBA players, including Pau and Marc Gasol, Kevin Love, Dwight Howard, Dwyane Wade, and Rudy Gay all have visited St. Jude.
