2014: Made14 starts and 19 total regular season appearances in his first MLS season. Played a full 90 in 13 MLS games. Went the distance in his MLS and Red Bulls debut on March 8 against Vancouver Whitecaps… Playoffs: Replaced Lloyd Sam in the 95th minute on November 8 in New York’s 2-2 draw in the second leg of the Eastern Conference Semifinals at RFK Stadium... Champions League: Played 90 minutes in three CCL games – August 26 against C.D. FAS, September 17 at Montreal, and September 24 at C.D. FAS. Played 28 minutes as a sub October 22 against Montreal.

The New York Red Bulls announced January 23, 2014 that they signed defender Armando (full name: Armando Lozano Sanchez). 

Armando was most recently playing for Spanish second division side, Cordoba, in December 2012, following a short stint at Mexico’s Veracruz. In 2009, the 29-year-old joined FC Barcelona’s B team, where he amassed a total of 51 appearances over three seasons and captained the side during parts of his tenure.

Armando started his career at Motril in 2002 before moving onto Malaga’s B team, playing there from 2003-2006. In 2006, Armando joined Malaga’s first team, making 25 appearances that season. The 6-1, 175 pound defender moved onto Levante in 2007, before moving onto FC Cartagena, helping that club win promotion.
