2013: Made his first start as a Red Bull on Mar. 23, tallying four shots, two on goal, over 76 minutes of play in a 1-0 loss to the Montreal Impact. On Mar. 30, Luyindula went the full 90 and tallied his first assist as a Red Bull on a Thierry Henry goal in New York's 2-1 win over the Union. Earned the secondary assist on Tim Cahill's game-winning goal againt Toronto FC in New York's 2-1 victory on Apr. 27. Left the May 8 match against the Montreal Impact with a left hamstring injury. Made his first trip back to the pitch on May 29 for the first 45 minutes of play in New York's 2-0 win over Reading United in the third round of the U.S. Open Cup tournament. Started in New York's match against the Union on June 23 for the first time since May 8, an 83-minute effort in the club's 3-0 loss. Opened his Red Bulls and MLS account on a penalty-kick conversion in the Red Bulls' 4-0 win over Montreal on July 13. Recorded an assist on Lloyd Sam's fourth goal of the season in New York's 4-1 win over the Houston Dynamo on Sunday, Sept. 8.
