The NSCAA Academy Committee conducts special topic courses periodically in different parts of the country, as well as special clinics at various events. This initiative focusing on “Reading the Game” focuses on the coaches ability to analyze a match and effectively improve players, groups of players, and the whole team.

Dave Jervis, New York Red Bulls Director of Training Programs, feels that, “As a leader in the education of coaches we are extremely excited to be partnering with the NSCAA to host this special topics course. Combing a workshop with a live Red Bulls match will provide a special learning opportunity for youth coaches. We are also fortunate to have Jeff Tipping an extremely experienced instructor running the workshop.”

The NSCAA course will be held prior to the match vs. the Columbus Crew. Enrollment in the special topics course includes a classroom session with renowned NSCAA Director of Education and Coaching Development Jeff Tipping. Following the match, a member of the Red Bulls coaching staff will analyze the match for the participants.

To sign up, please visit the NSCAA website. The cost of the course is $85 (plus $7 handling fee). For further information please contact Simon Nee, New York Red Bulls Manager for Education and Training, at 201-583-7044.
