As part of MLS W.O.R.K.S., the Red Bulls will participate in a league-wide campaign to help the fight against breast cancer during their October 9 match versus Real Salt Lake at Red Bull Arena. As part of the effort, the match will be played with a commemorative pink adidas match ball, players will use pink sideline towels, and coaches and staff will don pink scarves. Also, both teams will wear a special pink MLS W.O.R.K.S. ribbon patch on their jerseys.

“Breast cancer is a serious disease that affects both men and women,” said JoAnn Neale, executive vice president of MLS. “Major League Soccer is proud to collaborate with our clubs, players and corporate partners to raise awareness and support the fight against breast cancer.”

Game-worn autographed jerseys from various players around the league and the special-edition pink match balls will be available for auction at www.MLSsoccer.com/works beginning October 15 as part of League efforts to raise funds for breast cancer research and treatment.

Limited edition Breast Cancer Awareness adidas products including t-shirts and replica balls will be available for purchase at Red Bull Arena and retailers. A portion of the proceeds from these sales and proceeds from the online auction will benefit Susan G. Komen for a Cure.

Prior to the game in the Interactive Zone, recognizable New York Red Bulls supporter Johnny Toro will paint his face pink and will be taking photos with fans to raise money for Susan G. Komen for a Cure.  Photos will cost $5.00 and will be printed on-site.  The first 200 fans to donate and get their picture taken will also receive an autographed player card.

The Red Bulls host Real Salt Lake at Red Bull Arena on Saturday, October 9 at 4:00 PM ET (TV: MSG/Telefutura; Radio: WADO 1280 AM). Tickets are available and can be purchased by calling 1.877.RBSOCCER or by CLICKING HERE.
