Agudelo, Shanosky called for Rongen's U-20 camp

Juan Agudelo scored on his USMNT debut.

Bob Bradley isn't the only American coach holding a January camp. U-20 manager Thomas Rongen on Wednesday called 25 players into a 12-day training session, held from January 2-13 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Juan Agudelo leads the Major League Soccer players. The New York Red Bulls’ homegrown product will participate until Jan. 6 before joining the senior squad at The Home Depot Center ahead of next month’s match against Chile. Conor Shanosky and Ethan White come from D.C. United, while Moises Hernandez and Brian Sylvestre join from FC Dallas and the Vancouver Whitecaps, respectively.

Two players based in Germany also highlight the list. Fabian Huerzeler, the captain of Bayern Munich’s U-17 team, pledged to switch allegiances last month and will appear in his first American camp. Munich 1860's Bobby Wood, previously unavailable due to club commitments, will also make the trip to Florida.

Akron standouts Perry Kitchen and Zarek Valentin headline the collegiate contingent, which also features Boston College's Sacir Hot, Duke's Sebastian Ibeagha, and Dillon Powers of Notre Dame.

Midfielder playmaker Sebastian Lletget returns, as do wingers Alex Molano, Alex Zahavi, Joe Gyau.

Conor Doyle and Omar Salgado round out a striker corps that's one of the strongest ever.

One absence is Josh Gatt. The Altach product netted two goals and assisted on the three others during the American's 5-0 victory over Canada earlier this month.
