U-20 defender Hot on trial with M'gladbach

Boston College and United States U-20s defender Sacir Hot is currently on trial in Germany, MLSsoccer.com has learned.

Hot is training with Borussia Mönchengladbach of the Bundesliga in Germany’s top flight, a club that has recently seen its back line thinned by injuries.

Depending on the training, Hot might progress to fellow first division Borussia Dortmund for more training.

Hot has not received an offer from Mönchengladbach, who boast US standout Michael Bradley in their midfield.

Hot was a part of the Red Bulls Academy while in high school and trained with the club this past summer. He participated with the U-20 national team last summer in the Milk Cup. The Fair Lawn, N.J., turns 20 this June.

He has not hired an agent so as to maintain his NCAA eligibility.
