The world of red bull soccer

Red Bull Salzburg
Still on international break, the Austrian tipp3-Bundesliga is crowded at the top, as the Red Bulls (11-5-10) currently sit third in the 10-team table and are one win from tying for first place, but are trailed closely by four others.

The defending champions have a home-and-home series with last-place LASK Linz to look forward to this week, and will be hoping that six points from the two matches will be enough for first place in the table with matches yet to be played against the top two in the table and the fifth-place club.  LASK has managed draws at home against some of the league’s top competition, however, so six points may not be as easy to come by as they would appear.  The LASK series will open on Sunday, April 3 away for the Red Bulls before they host the second leg on Sunday, April 9.

RB Leipzig
Another club on hiatus due to the international window, RB Leipzig was scheduled to play two friendlies but those were canceled amid concerns of fan protest.

The Red Bulls (13-4-8) will host second-place VfB Lübek on Sunday, April 3 in an attempt to pull closer to the top of the table, as they currently sit fourth, three points out of third and six from second.

Red Bull Brasil
The Red Bulls came away from their last two matches with victories, defeating mid-table Palmeiras B and ninth-place São Bento to gain six points to pull back up the table, although second stage qualification was already an impossibility.  The club finishes the season ranked a competitive fifth, having passed PAEC over the final week but not having enough matches available to overcome Guarani’s win and draw.  The Red Bulls (8-6-4) fell just four points shy of the fourth-place qualification berth and a mere seven out of first place in the league.

Red Bull Ghana
A 4-0 thrashing of last-place All Stars tied the greatest margin of victory for a team in the Division One Zone 3B this season (King Solomon also won 4-0 over All Stars, in the season opener) to boost the Red Bulls’ confidence ahead of four remaining matches, with three against mid-table competition and one looming vs. league runaway favorites Tema Youth, which have yet to lose a match this campaign.

The victory was the Red Bulls’ first since the league recommenced this spring and third on the season as it marked their first three-point gain in a match since January 16.
