New York Red Bulls Partner with City of Hoboken to Offer Special Needs Soccer Program

HARRISON, NJ– The New York Red Bulls announced today a partnership with the City of Hoboken to offer the TOPSoccer program to youth players in the Hoboken area. TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is offered under the umbrella of US Youth Soccer, and is designed to allow any child the opportunity to learn and play soccer, specifically those who have a mental or physical disability.

“Were looking forward to expanding our TOPSoccer program to the Hoboken area” said Erik Stover, Managing Director of the New York Red Bulls. “Sports are an educational and inspirational part of our lives and we're proud to be supporting Mayor Zimmer in her effort to improve the lives of Hoboken residents.”

“It is an honor to partner with the Red Bulls to bring opportunities for young athletes with disabilities to Hoboken,” said Mayor Dawn Zimmer. “This free program gives every child, regardless of their ability, a chance to learn and play sports. I thank Director Pellegrini for working to bring this program to Hoboken.”

The program’s inaugural season will be launched this coming spring, with sessions running every Sunday for five weeks. The program will be operated at Hoboken Little League Field and will be supported by the Red Bulls’ local partner, the City of Hoboken.

All costs of the program will be covered by the New York Red Bulls. For more information, please call 1-877-370-7287 or visit http://www.redbullsacademy.com
