Omar Ream

Welcome to the latest installment of MLSsoccer.com's "This or That?" It's as simple as it gets: You choose one of two things. Sometimes you might want a third option or a "both" option, but that's not the point. The point is to present either/or question and find out where people's opinions lie.

Omar Gonzalez and Tim Ream are two of the best young defenders not only in MLS, but also in the US national team set up. They both have size, speed, and soccer IQs that could see them suit up for the Yanks for years to come.

This Saturday, they come face to face when the LA Galaxy host the New York Red Bulls (11 pm ET, ESPN2/Deportes). And while the world will be watching the bold-faced matchup between all the DPs--LA's David Beckham, Landon Donovan, and Juan Pablo Angel; NY's Thierry Henry and Rafa Marquez--the most interesting competition could be between Gonzalez and Ream, both of whom will certainly be looking to impress US coach Bob Bradley with a strong performance in a nationally televised match.

So which one do you prefer, Gonzalez or Ream?
