HARRISON, NJ – Major League Soccer announced today that New York Red Bulls midfielder Joel Lindpere has been added as an Inactive Player to the 2011 AT&T MLS All-Star roster.  Lindpere is among six players voted upon by MLS players to round out the 32 man roster. The MLS All-Stars will take on reigning English Premier League champions Manchester United on July 27, 2011 at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey (8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN2, Galavisión, TSN2).

Lindpere joins Red Bulls teammates Thierry Henry, Rafa Marquez and Tim Ream, who were all voted to the MLS First XI on July 10, and Juan Agudelo, who was named to the roster as a Commission’s Pick on July 16, on the squad led by New York and All-Star head coach Hans Backe.

In his second season in Major League Soccer, Lindpere has recorded five goals and five assists this season, placing him tied for third and tied for second, respectively, for New York.  Known for his tireless workrate in the Red Bulls midfield, the Estonian was a finalist for the 2010 MLS Newcomer of the Year and was voted as the club’s MVP.
