ProSoccerTalk.com's Steve Davis recently made his early-season Major League Soccer MVP pick, and the selection should not come as no surprise to anyone. With seven goals and four assists over the first five games, it would be hard to pick anyone other than Thierry Henry - and that's exactly who Davis picked as well.

The season is young, and there are still many more matches to be played, but if the early-season display suggests one thing it's that Henry is showing little signs of slowing down anytime soon. Especially when you consider that Henry tallied just one assist over the first two Red Bulls matches of the season, both losses on the road. Simple math gets you the staggering total during the three-game win streak: seven goals and three assists.
It's no wonder Davis had the following to say of Henry
:

"There is no larger figure in Major League Soccer right now than Thierry Henry. He really is all that and a stack of Pringles."

With two consecutive Player of the Week awards, his first-ever Player of the Month Award and a Goal of the Week Award, all eyes will be on Henry as he continues to show his dominance in the early stages of the season.

Saturday, Henry and the Red Bulls will go to work against the San Jose Earthquakes, a team that currently holds a 4-1 record (12 points) and sits at second overall in the Western Conference. With a 2-0 record at home, New York will look to continue its goal of turning Red Bull Arena into a "fortress" this season. Great tickets for the match start as low as $20.
