HARRISON, NJ (Nov. 8, 2012) – The New York Red Bulls announced today a donation starting at $250,000 to the American Red Cross, The Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund, and The Mayor's Fund for NYC Hurricane Relief to help local relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. The team will donate half of its gate revenue for tonight’s MLS Cup Playoffs Eastern Conference Semifinals match at Red Bull Arena and a potential Eastern Conference Finals home leg.

“The effects of Hurricane Sandy have and will continue to profoundly impact the lives of so many of our neighbors, fans and families within the tri-state area. As a member of a community that has supported us for many years, the Red Bulls want to aid the relief effort in any way possible,” said Red Bulls General Manager Jérôme de Bontin. “We believe that we can effectively help by donating to these three groups’ relief efforts and will continue to assist with recovery work around the region in the weeks and months to come.”
