New York Red Bulls midfielder Tim Cahill has been named to the MLS Team of the Week for the second consecutive week, thanks to his solid performance in Saturday's 1-0 win over the Columbus Crew.
With the score knotted up at zero, Tim Cahill headed home the lone goal of the match in the 80th minute that allowed the Red Bulls to steal three points on the road at Crew Stadium and improve their current win streak to three straight.
Cahill's two goals in a 2-1 win over Toronto FC earned him MLS Player of the Week and Team of the Week honors last week. For the past four weeks, New York has seen at least one player named to the MLS Team of the Week. Cahill is now tied with fellow midfielder Dax McCarty, currently rehabbing a quad injury, with a total of two.
