New York Red Bulls defender Jamison Olave has been named to the MLS All-Star Team as an inactive all-star. He joins the MLS All-Stars, who are led by his Red Bulls teammate and captain Thierry Henry, when they take on Italian side AS Roma at Sporting Park in Kansas City. Olave was also a member of the 2011 All-Star Team when he played for Real Salt Lake.

This season Olave has been a key player for the Red Bulls defensive line, but also a contributor on the offensive side as well. Olave has played in 19 matches for the Red Bulls, 18 of which were starts, all while surpassing his previous career-high in goals with a total of four. After joining the Red Bulls on Dec. 3, 2012 in a trade from Real Salt Lake, Olave has proven himself to be the same physical player he was in previous seasons with the Western Conference side, as he has developed a strong defensive partnership alongside fellow Red Bulls center back, Markus Holgersson.

Be sure to catch all the action live from Kansas City tonight at 9 PM ET on ESPN2.
