New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Luis Robles has been nominated for MLS Save of the Week thanks to this crucial stop on FC Dallas' Fabian Castillo.
The big save came during the final seconds of the first half with the score tied, 0-0. Castillo cut in past the defense and dished it off toward the front of the goal. In typical give-and-go fashion, the ball found its way back to Castillo, who seemed primed to send a shot far post. But Robles was positioned well, didn't bite on the pass inside, and put his hands up just in time to deny the attempt. By the end of the match, New York's 1-0 win was secured thanks in part to Dallas own goal, and also this stop.
