HARRISON, NJ (August 2, 2014) – The New York Red Bulls and New England Revolution have created a groundbreaking program for their respective supporters’ groups.
Starting in 2015, New York Red Bulls supporters who purchase a full season ticket plan and are in one of the team’s three supporters groups (Empire Supporters Club, Garden State Ultras, Viking Army) will also earn a complementary ticket to the supporters’ section of an away Red Bulls-New England Revolution regular season match. Season ticket holding supporters for the Revolution will receive the same benefits when they come to Red Bull Arena.
This is believed to be the first season ticket package in mainstream professional sports to include a ticket to an away game.
“Supporters groups are the lifeblood of the Red Bulls and we want to cultivate their memberships in any way possible, while celebrating some of the League’s great rivalries,” said Red Bulls Head of Commercial Operations Marc de Grandpre. “We are excited to announce this innovative partnership with New England and hope that this becomes a program that grows between our clubs and other clubs around MLS. Our players feed off the energy that our supporters provide both home and away. This should provide our team with some of our home field advantage on the road."
Season ticket renewals for current plans start on August 4 while new season ticket sales for the 2015 campaign begin on August 6. The Red Bulls and Revolution play tonight at Red Bull Arena with kickoff set for 7:00 PM (TV: MSG). For more information, 1.877.727.6223 or log onto www.newyorkredbulls.com.
