HARRISON, NJ (October, 21 2014) – The Red Bulls held a light practice at Red Bull Arena on Tuesday in preparation for Wednesday night’s CONCACAF Champion’s League finale against Montreal.

For head coach Mike Petke, the game will be an opportunity to evaluate his team heading into the playoffs.

“Tomorrow’s game is going to be an opportunity game for all the players who have not had much playing time,” said Petke.

“It’s one final look before the last game of the season and the playoffs for who we can count on, who can make a stake for playing time, or off the bench depth.”

Connor Lade, who rejoined the team this week from the New York Cosmos, took part in training ahead of tomorrow’ match. Lade looks to figure heavily into tomorrow’s line up.

“Connor has shown improvement every time he’s come back,” continued Petke. “He looks confident, he’s playing well, and I thought he played very well against Montreal in the last Champion’s League game that he played in, so we’re going to put him right back in that position and see what we have there.”

The session lasted about 45 minutes, though many players remained on the field to work after drills had concluded. Wednesday’s CONCACAF Champions League match against Montreal is set for 8:00 p.m. at Red Bull Arena.
