Sacha → Red Bulls


The news of U.S. international Sacha Kljestan’s transfer to the Red Bulls ruled the day in Orlando, New York and the rest of Major League Soccer.


Expected to join the team during their stay in Central Florida, Kljestan said a tech-savvy hello to Red Bull supporters using the iNote app on his iPhone:

Former Leeds United product Mike Grella is one of a few trialists in camp hoping to earn a permanent stay this preseason. The Glen Cove, N.Y. product certainly didn’t hurt his cause in Wednesday morning’s training session when he channeled Obafemi Martins 2014 MLS Goal of the Year, looping a beautiful, tight angled effort from the right over Kyle Reynish and inside the bottom left corner.


Unfortunately, no video of it exists but it caused noticeable pause from those in attendance.

Players finished their afternoon training session (almost) just in time to catch the U.S. Men’s National Team friendly vs. Chile.


I say almost because Dax McCarty rolled into the hotel restaurant just minutes after former FC Dallas teammate Brek Shea opened up the scoring in the sixth minute…
