RBNY Academy Update | June 19: All four teams finish atop their divisions

The New York Red Bulls U-13 team began their playoff run last weekend, while the U-14s get set for the USDA Showcase this weekend. The U-16s and 18s are also set for playoff matchups this weekend. All the Red Bulls teams earned top seeds in the age groups.


All four Red Bulls Academy teams finished at the top of their leagues. The U-18s (19-4-3), U-16s (23-1-2) and U-14s (17-1-5) all topped their divisions in USDA, while the U-13s finished as champions of the North East Pre-Academy League with a 16-1-2 mark.


On Saturday June 13, The New York Red Bulls training facility played host to the U-13 NEPAL quarter final game between The New York Red Bulls U-13 Academy team and Oakwood SC. The game was a scoring clinic for the Red bulls, as they netted six goals while conceding none. The U-13s will look to continue that success when they take on Albertson SC in this Saturday in a semifinal match. Kickoff is set for 1:00 pm at PDAs Morning Side Complex 12.


Fresh off of their own 6-0 win versus Baltimore Bays Chelsea, The New York Red Bulls U-14 team will begin the USDA Showcase in Indianapolis on June 19. Their first match is against a formidable LA Galaxy team. Kickoff is set for 10 a.m. Their next games will be June 20 at 10 a.m. versus Vardar and June 22 versus the San Jose Earthquakes.


Finally, both the U-16 and the U-18 New York Red Bulls teams begin their playoffs June 23 in Indianapolis as well. At 10 a.m. the U-18 team will face BW Gottschee, followed by a 7:30 p.m. match between the Red Bulls U-16 team and the IMG Academy.
