Whippany Youth Soccer Festival Recap

The New York Red Bulls Youth Soccer Festival series, presented by Hackensack University Medical Center, hosted another successful event at Red Bull Training Facility in Whippany, NJ.

On July 15th, 143 participants and 100 parents gathered at the facility to hold a day-long event for the children. Certified Red Bulls youth coaches ran a variety of skill-based drills mixed with fun and games. Red Bulls players Matt Miazga and Shawn McLaws were also in attendance to meet the kids and help the coaches run the event.

With 90-degree weather and a day full of sun, Mission Athletecare, an official partner of the New York Red Bulls, was on-site to provide cooling gear from their Enduracool line of instant cooling technologies to help participants beat the heat during the camp.

Mayor of Hanover Ron Francioli was in attendance to witness the event.  "Hanover and Red Bulls, perfect together,” Franciolo said. “What an exciting day for our young soccer players to have the opportunity to be in the company of the Red Bulls athletes, building character and memorable times.  Such great neighbors - can't thank the Red Bulls enough."

The next festival is scheduled for Wednesday, September 2nd at Roosevelt Island in New York City.

The event is open to the public and free of charge. Registration and more sign-up information can be found at //www.newyorkredbulls.com/YouthSoccerFestival.
