HARRISON, N.J. (September 25, 2015) – The New York Red Bulls trail Orlando City SC, 2-1, at halftime at Red Bull Arena. Cyle Larin has struck twice for the visitors, with Dax McCarty pulling one back for the home side.

Orlando got on the board in the 24th minute, with Larin redirecting a corner from Kaka for his 12th of the season, setting a new MLS rookie scoring record.

Red Bulls captain Dax McCarty evened the game in the 29th minute with a diving header just inside the back post. The play started with a free kick from 20 yards out taken by Sacha Kljestan. Kljestan chipped the ball towards the right post, where it was headed across the face of the goal by Matt Miazga for the captain to finish.

It is the first goal of the season for McCarty, and the 16th of his MLS career. Sacha Kljestan leads New York with 12 assists on the year. It was the second career assist, and first of the season, for Miazga.

The Lions retook the lead in the 43rd minute with another goal from Larin. The play started with Kaka feeding Carlos Rivas, who entered the game for an injured Seb Hibes. Rivas whipped a ball in between New York’s center backs and found a cutting Larin, who beat Robles with his one-on-one opportunity.

The Red Bulls found the woodwork twice in first half stoppage time, both on headers. Damien Perrinelle put a chance squarely off the crossbar, and Bradley Wright-Phillips also hit the far post after redirecting a cross from the left wing.

New York held 55% of the possession in the first half, and outshot the visitors, 9-5, and 3-2 on target.
