BY THE NUMBERS: A numerical guide to New York vs. Orlando

The New York Red Bulls clash with Orlando City SC at Red Bull Arena on Sunday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m. ET (TV: FS1, RADIO: Red Bulls Radio English/Spanish on TuneIn). The Red Bulls look to capture win number two against an Orlando side that sits third in the Eastern Conference.



Here are some numbers to know ahead of Sunday’s match against Orlando City SC:


2: Red Bulls captain Dax McCarty is second all-time in games started for New York, now with 143, second only to Mike Petke’s 158. He is also third place in all-time player appearances for New York, with 148.


3: Stopping 2015 MLS Rookie of the Year Cyle Larin will be a top priority for the Red Bulls, after he scored a hat trick in Orlando’s lone visit to Red Bull Arena on Sept. 25, 2015. Larin scored his three goals in a span of less than 30 minutes in the win, 5-2.


4: In the only two meetings between the teams, four different Red Bulls players have scored against Orlando City. Mike Grella, Sacha Kljestan, Lloyd Sam and Dax McCarty have all netted a goal against Orlando.


6: The Red Bulls played six players 23-years-old or younger during last week’s road trip. The six players included Anatole Abang (19), Tyler Adams (17), Sean Davis (23), Alex Muyl (20), Kemar Lawrence (23) and Karl Ouimette (23).


45: New York been one of the toughest teams to play at home over the last few years. Since 2012, the Red Bulls hold the second-best home record in the league, and the best record in the Eastern Conference with a 45-12-14 record.


113: Luis Robles became the MLS all-time leader in consecutive starts and full 90 minutes played with 113. The reigning MLS Goalkeeper of the Year has logged 10,170 consecutive minutes with the Red Bulls. He also set franchise records in wins (51) and shutouts (28), and is closing in on Chris Klein’s all-time MLS record for consecutive starts (118).
