On Sunday June 19th the New York Red Bulls will continue their 2016 season at home against the Seattle Sounders FC.


The match will kickoff at 7:30 pm at Red Bull Arena with coverage on Fox Sports 1 and the Red Bulls Radio Network on TuneIn.



The Red Bulls are looking to continue a four game winning streak, including a 1-0 victory over the Rochester Rhinos at the US Open Cup this past Wednesday. Sacha Kljestan scored the lone goal on a penalty kick. In their last league match, the Red Bulls defeated Toronto FC 3-0 at home and Bradley Wright-Phillips netted a franchise-record fourth career hat trick.


The Red Bulls and the Sounders have not yet met in the 2016 season, and this will be their only meeting this season.


Seattle’s record is 1-4-1 on the road and 5-7-1 overall. The Red Bulls are sitting at second place in the Eastern Conference. They are also currently undefeated at home this season with an impressive 5-2-0 record at Red Bull Arena, while they are 6-7-1 overall.


After this weekend’s match, the Red Bulls will be traveling to Salt Lake City to play Real Salt Lake on Wednesday June 22 at Rio Tinto Stadium. The match will kickoff at 10pm Eastern Time with coverage on MSG and the Red Bulls Radio Network on TuneIn.

  • The Red Bulls won their third game in a row – all by shutout – in their last match, a 3-0 win against Toronto FC on May 28 at Red Bull Arena. Bradley Wright-Phillips scored a hat trick in the opening 27 minutes – the fastest triple from the start of a game in MLS history – for all three goals; Wright-Phillips has five goals and an assist over the three-game winning run, where the Red Bulls have outscored their opponents 11-0.
  • Sounders FC put an end to a three-game losing slide in their last league game, a 2-0 win at D.C. United on June 1. Rookie Jordan Morris scored his fifth goal of the season, all coming over the last eight games.
  • The Red Bulls have a three-game home undefeated streak in the series, including a 4-1 win Sept. 20, 2014 at Red Bull Arena, their first victory in the series since 2011.
  • Sounders FC have a three-game home undefeated streak in the series, including a 2-1 win last May 31 at CenturyLink Field in the only meeting between the teams.
