Postgame: Bradley Wright-Phillips on #NYvDC

New York Red Bulls forward Bradley Wright-Phillips:

On Kljestan's performance:

I think it may be a bit a both. I think its a bit more like guys, especially the front four, had to look after themselves and we were playing out of our skin and we all, over the last couple of weeks, had to look at ourselves and say whether we are playing good enough and we weren't so I think it must be down to that as well.

On if playing a rival this week helped:

It definitely does. D.C., New York City FC, the New England's of the world, you don't want to lose to these teams and it's way easier to get up for the game.

On his goal:

It was a lovely weighted pass from Felipe. I was going to cross it but I realized where I was in the box until I took the time to settle and then I tried to hit it low and hard. Bill Hamid is a really good goalkeeper, when it's around him he's very agile so I just tried to keep it low and hard and luckily it went in between his legs.

On Alex Muyl:

You know, Alex can be a bit hard on himself. Just being a hard working player, if you just start saying all those things, you believe in it, you start reading those things, you believe it. Today he showed it. He was clean on the ball, he did work hard because that is what's required on our team, and he got a goal.
