HUNTSVILLE, AL (May 26, 2023) - New York Red Bulls II (4-2-3, 17 pts.) travel to face Huntsville City FC (1-4-3 9 pts.) at Joe Davis Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET and coverage is available on MLS Season Pass with Apple TV.

Last time out against Hunstville, Red Bulls II were able to grab their first win of the MLS NEXT Pro season when the two clubs faced off in April at MSU Soccer Park. Ricardo Gorday scored the lone goal in the match as New York took all three points in a 1-0 victory.

Red Bulls II are currently sitting at fifth in the Eastern Conference standings with 17 points in nine matches played. Huntsville is down at 12th, but their most recent results give the club a lot of optimism going forward.

Huntsville is coming off their first win of the season, having defeated league leaders Crown Legacy FC 2-1 in their home opener last week. The club played their first seven matches on the road while Joe Davis Stadium was being completed, and now they have their home field advantage yet again on Friday.

Last Sunday, New York topped Inter Miami CF II 1-0 thanks to Oladayo Thomas’ second goal of the season. Frank Ssebufu was able to send a ball through the Miami backline and find Thomas who hammered the ball into the far post past the keeper. A.J. Marcucci made his return from injury and was able to post his fourth clean sheet of the season.

New York has been on a great run of form recently, posting a 4-1-1 record over the past six matches. The club has also managed to gain a result in all three away matches this season, having drawn two against Chicago and Atlanta, and securing a win in New England.

Red Bulls II just recorded their league leading fifth clean sheet of the season, and are currently second in the league in least goals allowed with seven. Goalkeeper A.J. Marcucci leads the league in individual clean sheets with four on the season.

This will be the first of two matches in four days for New York, as the squad will look to face Orlando City B on Monday, May 30th.

Coverage is available on MLS Season pass with Apple TV.
