HARRISON, N.J. (April 9, 2024) - New York Red Bulls II (2-0-1 8 pts.) are set for their second match in eight days against New York City FC II (0-1-1 2 pts.) at Belson Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage available on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

Red Bulls II are prepped for yet another New York Derby at Belson Stadium on Wednesday night against their local rivals. In the last match, New York City came out on top in a 4-2 victory to advance in the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

This will be the first time that these two have faced off in MLS NEXT Pro this season, where Red Bulls II have the edge in the league’s standings. The club has yet to lose a match in their three contests to this point, with the most recent being a thrilling victory over FC Cincinnati 2.

In a battle where New York found themselves down 2-1 in the late stages of the match, forward Roald Mitchell netted a 90th minute winner to secure a brace and all three points in a 3-2 victory on the road at NKU Stadium. Defender Davi Alexandre recorded his first goal of the season and the second of his professional career in the match.

New York City’s last matchup in MLS NEXT Pro was a tight contest at Belson Stadium with league newcomers, Chattanooga FC. Johnathan Shore had the lone goal for his side in a 1-1 stalemate. NYCFC II would come out on top in the shootout, 4-2, thanks to conversions from Piero Elias, Maximo Carrizo, Christopher Tiao, and Ronald Arevalo.

Red Bulls II have seen multiple debuts over the past two matches from goalkeeper Dallas Odle and defender Jair Collahuazo. Odle started in net for the first time since signing with New York in the matchup against Cincinnati and earned the victory on the road. Collahuazo made his debut last Tuesday against New York City
