Red Bull New York II (9-6-4, 32 pts.) fall to CT United FC (8-8-2, 28 pts.) 2-1 on Sunday night at Reese Stadium.
Connecticut opened the scoring in the 2nd minute when Rickson Van Hees found midfielder Dylan Lacy who scored.
New York scored their first goal of the night when midfielder Sekou Kone layed the ball to forward Christian Gallagher, who delivered it to winger Dennis Nelich for his sixth goal of the season.
In the second minute of second half stoppage time, Connecticut found the match winning goal courtesy of Lacy bouncing on a rebound in New York's box and placed his shot into the bottom left corner.
Kone recorded his first career MLS NEXT Pro assist.
Red Bulls II fielded their youngest starting lineup with an average age of 18.2 years old. The lineup was also the second-youngest starting XI in MLS NEXT Pro history.
