HARRISON, N.J. (August 29, 2025) – New York Red Bulls II goalkeeper Tobias Szewczyk and Red Bulls Academy midfielder Paul Sokoloff have been called into September U-17 USYNT Domestic Identity Training Camp from September 1 to September 8 in Fayetteville, Georgia.
Szewczyk signed his first career professional contract with Red Bulls II on January 17, 2025.
On the international stage, the goalkeeper has represented the United States, making four appearances with the U-15 USYNT, and one with the U-16 USYNT. He made his USYNT debut on December 2, 2023, in a 4-2 win over Italy. He most recently appeared for the U-16 USYNT on November 18, 2024, in a matchup against Mexico. The goalkeeper earned his first career USYNT clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Croatia on May 15, 2024.
The Morristown, NJ native received a call up to U-16 Poland National Team training camp in January 2025.
Szewczyk was a product of the Red Bulls Academy. He joined the organization in 2020 and was a member of the U-15 MLS NEXT Cup championship winning team.
The goalkeeper also participated in two training stints with RB Leipzig, most recently traveling with Tanner Rosborough, Adri Mehmeti, and Sokoloff in November 2024.
Sokoloff made his MLS NEXT Pro debut against on August 15, subbing on in the 80th minute against New England Revolution II at Gillette Stadium.
This is the midfielder’s first call up for the U-17 USYNT. The midfielder was most recently called into U-16 USYNT camp from May 17 to May 27 where he appeared in two friendly matches against Argentina and Uruguay. Sokoloff scored the second goal in a 4-0 victory over Uruguay.
The Brooklyn, N.Y. native has seven appearances for the U-15 USYNT and has scored three goals. The Brooklyn, N.Y. native made his debut on November 30, 2023, in a 2-1 victory over Portugal. His most notable performance with the U-15s was his two-goal match in a 4-2 win over Morocco on May 17, 2024. The midfielder also has two appearances for the U-16 USYNT. He scored the tying goal in a 1-1 draw against Mexico on November 18, 2024.
The midfielder captained the 2024 U-15 USYNT Vlatko Markovic Tournament winning team.
Sokoloff and Szewczyk will be at U-17 USYNT Domestic Identity Training Camp from September 1 to September 8 in Fayetteville, Georgia.
