HARRISON, N.J. (June 2, 2026) - Red Bull New York II Forward Mijahir Jiménez Called to U-20 Panama Camp
Comprised of 25 players, the camp will be held in Yalova, Türkiye, from May 28 to June 9.
During the camp, Panama will play against Iraq, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
This camp will be used as preparation for the upcoming CONCACAF U-20 Championship, which will be held in Mexico from July 24 to August 9.
Panama will be in Group C of the competition, with Canada, Honduras and Jamaica rounding out the rest of the group. All matches will be played at Estadio Universitario BUAP in Puebla.
The tournament results will determine who from the confederation will participate in the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
Jiménez has added five goal contributions (two goals and three assists) across 12 matches this season, seven of which he has started. His three assists are currently tied for second at the club.
Since joining Red Bulls II last season on loan from C.D. Plaza Amador, the 19-year-old has been an integral part of the club’s success.
Overall, the striker has recorded 15 goal contributions in MLS NEXT Pro play over his two seasons in New York.
In December, Jiménez received his first career call up to a Panama Youth National Team, playing in the UNCAF FIFA Forward U-19 Tournament 2025.
Featuring in all four matches of the competition, the striker scored in their 3-0 victory against Honduras.
