Red Bull New York II Midfielder Deven Cadigan and Goalkeeper Tobias Szewczyk Called to U-17 USYNT Camp

HARRISON, N.J. (May 28, 2026) – Red Bull New York II midfielder Deven Cadigan and goalkeeper Tobias Szewczyk have been called up to the U-17 USYNT, U.S. Soccer announced today.

Comprised of 20 players, the camp will be held in Natal, Brazil, from June 1 to June 11.

During the camp, the U.S. will play Brazil in two friendly matches on June 7 and June 10, with both fixtures being held at Arena das Dunas.

For Cadigan, this marks the first-ever youth international call-up for the Red Bulls academy product.

The 17-year-old made his MLS NEXT Pro debut on March 1, 2026, subbing on in the 15th minute against Columbus Crew 2 at Sports Illustrated Stadium. 

Cadigan has made 10 consecutive starts in his first season with Red Bull New York II.

Since making his debut for Red Bulls II, Cadigan has played 965 minutes this season, which is second most in the club.

Meanwhile, Szewczyk has made three previous appearances for the USYNT at the U-17 level.

The Morristown, N.J. native most recently featured for the U-17s on November 13, starting in an international friendly against England at Shabab Al Ahli Stadium in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The 17-year-old was also called into the U.S. U-17 from October 6 to October 15 in San Pedro del Pinatar, Spain. He made two appearances in the camp against the Netherlands and Portugal.

Joining the Red Bulls Academy in 2020, the goalkeeper was a member of the U-15 MLS NEXT Cup championship-winning team in 2023.

Currently, the Homegrown product is on a four-year deal that runs through the 2029 season.

Szewczyk made his MLS NEXT Pro debut against Inter Miami CF II on September 21.

In five starts this season for Red Bulls II, the 17-year-old has posted two clean sheets.
