HARRISON, N.J. (April 27, 2026) – Red Bull New York II have been named MLS NEXT Pro Team of Matchweek 8, the league announced today.
Going into Matchweek 8, New York was tied with Columbus at 14 points for second place in the Eastern Conference. The stakes were high and the team delivered earning a 4-1 victory over Crew 2 at MSU Soccer Park on April 26.
Red Bulls II’s four goals scored was tied for the most goals scored in a single match this season for the club.
New York had four different goalscorers, including the first goals of the season for midfielder Nate Worth, forward Dennis Nelich and defender Julian Bazan. Forward Roald Mitchell also found the scoresheet.
The home side was strong on the defensive end too, conceding only one goal, while goalkeeper Aidan Stokes made six saves.
