HARRISON, N.J. (October 1, 2026) – Red Bull New York II have signed Red Bulls Academy defender Jason Bori to a two-and-a-half-year MLS NEXT Pro contract through the 2028-29 season, which goes into effect on January 1, 2027, the club announced today.
“Jason has shown great promise since joining the club in the Academy and earned his way into the RB II starting line-up over the course of the season,” said Technical Director Tiger Fitzpatrick. “We truly believe in his long-term potential and feel honored to continue to support him in his journey with this first professional contract.”
The 17-year-old made his MLS NEXT Pro debut on April 19, subbing on in the 89th minute in a 3-1 victory against FC Cincinnati 2 at MSU Soccer Park. Bori scored his first career MLS NEXT pro goal against New England Revolution II on August 2 at MSU Soccer Park.
Overall, Bori appeared in 10 matches this season, recording two goal contributions across 634 minutes played.
At the international level, the defender has made two appearances at the U-17 level for the Albanian national team.
Last year, he participated in training sessions with sister club RB Salzburg in Austria.
Bori joined the Red Bulls Academy in 2024. Prior to joining the club, the 17-year-old was a part of New York Soccer Club.
“In Jason, we’ve signed a very talented young centerback,” said Head Coach Dominik Wohlert. “During his time with Red Bulls II, he quickly adapted to the new speed of play and made a significant impact. We’re very excited to play a key role in his further development.”
