HARRISON, N.J. (May 7, 2026) – Red Bull New York II have signed Nigerian forward Malik Odeyinka to a one-year MLS NEXT Pro contract, the club announced today.
“Malik is a strong number nine that brings a good level of physicality to the table,” said Head Coach Dominik Wohlert. “His professional experience is strong, and we look forward to adding him to our group.”
Odeyinka has made 12 appearances for Alashkert Yerevan FC in the Armenia’s first division Fastex Premier League, logging a total of 179 minutes played.
Prior to Alashkert Yerevan FC , the forward made 10 appearances for FC Van in the Fastex Premier League. He scored his first career Fastex Premier League goal in a 2-2 draw against Alashkert Yerevan FC on March 29, 2026. The Nigerian international also has four appearances in the 2025 Armenian Independence Cup and scored a goal in the second leg of a 3-2 victory over West Armenia on April 2, 2025.
The 19-year-old forward began his professional career at Arsenal Tula, who play in the second tier of Russian soccer. He made 12 appearances and scored two goals. His match winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Ural on September 16, 2024 made him the youngest goalscorer in club history at 18 years and 138 days old.
