HARRISON, N.J. (July 3, 2026) – Red Bull New York II have signed Red Bulls Academy forward Christian Gallagher to a one-year MLS NEXT Pro contract through 2027 with an option for 2028, the club announced today.
“We are excited to have Christian [Gallagher] take the next step in his career joining us with Red Bulls II,” said Technical Director Tiger Fitzpatrick. “His journey is an inspiring one and speaks volumes of his perseverance and dedication to improving himself daily.
“Since making his debut last season, he has made significant contributions to the team’s success. We look forward to supporting him as he progresses in his football journey.”
The 18-year-old made his MLS NEXT Pro debut on March 7, 2025, starting and playing 81 minutes against Atlanta United 2 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
This season, the forward has scored three goals in eight appearances. He has also registered two assists.
Gallagher joined the Red Bulls Academy in 2023. Prior to joining the club, the 18-year-old was a part of Coronado Athletic Club.
“Christian has made good progress over the past few months and has become more and more the focus of attention,” said Head Coach Dominik Wohlert.
“He has a lot of impressive qualities that we look for in a number 9 in our system, and we’re very happy that Christian is staying on board and continuing on this path with us.”
