HARRISON, N.J. (June 19, 2026) – Red Bull New York II have signed Red Bulls Academy midfielder Deven Cadigan to a two-year MLS NEXT Pro contract through the 2028 season, the club announced today. Cadigan will join the first team as a Homegrown Player starting in 2028-29 through the 2029-30 season with an option for the 2030-31 season.
“We are excited to have Deven [Cadigan] with Red Bulls II,” said Technical Director Tiger Fitzpatrick. “His rise this season has been truly incredible to see. We look forward to working with him and continuing his development.”
The 17-year-old made his MLS NEXT Pro debut on March 1, subbing on in the 15th minute against Columbus Crew 2 at Sports Illustrated Stadium.
Since making his debut off the bench for Red Bulls II, Cadigan has started 11 matches this season.
Cadigan has also registered 1,100 minutes this season, third-most at the club.
Recently, the midfielder received his first-ever youth international call-up, representing the U-17 USYNT during their June camp in Natal, Brazil.
The midfielder made his international debut on June 10, starting and playing 90 minutes against Brazil.
Cadigan began his time with the club in 2019 as part of the Regional Development School (RDS). In 2023, he was a member of the U-15 MLS NEXT Cup Champion side.
“Deven is a great example for many players in our academy,” said Head Coach Dominik Wohlert. “He’s someone who has been with the club for multiple years, has truly embraced our identity, and has continued to develop through the various age groups.
“This achievement is a true testament to his recent performances and his fantastic development. As a club, we will continue to support and challenge him so that we can turn our shared goals into reality.”
