Red Bulls preseason tilts against Chicago Fire to be streamed live

Red Bull New York announced today that it will exclusively stream the team’s doubleheader Wednesday, Feb. 23 against the Chicago Fire on www.newyorkredbulls.com. The first match will feature the clubs’ Reserve Sides at 11:00 AM ET while the second match will pit the clubs’ First Teams against each other at approximately 1:00 PM. The matches are closed to the public.

GOL TV veteran play-by-play announcer Juan Arango and former New York defender Mike Petke will call the Red Bulls-Fire First Team match, while Arango will also provide commentary on the Reserve match.

New York, the 2010 Eastern Conference regular season champion, left for Florida on Monday and enters its second preseason trip holding a 2-1-0 in 2011. The Red Bulls were in Mexico from Feb. 4-16 and defeated the Atlante First Team and Reserve Team, while falling to Chivas de Guadalajara.

Chicago comes into its second preseason matches of the season after earning a 2-2 draw against Florida Gulf Coast University last Thursday. The Fire, coached by Carlos de los Cobos, finished in fourth place in the Eastern Conference in 2010 with 36 points off a 9-12-9 record. New York went 1-0-1 against Chicago last year.
