Man Caves comes to Red Bull Arena

Man Caves article

Red Bull Arena may be just over a year old, but one area of the stadium just got a makeover – by the best in the business. The cast and crew of the hit DIY Network television series “Man Caves” recently finished construction on the first “Fan Cave” at Red Bull Arena. Located in between Gates B and C on the plaza level, the Fan Cave is a one-of-its-kind hangout for hardcore Red Bulls fans. Red Bulls goalkeeper Alex Horwath and defender Teddy Schneider were the first to get a glimpse of the final product, along with a group of lucky Red Bulls fans who were invited for the unveiling.

The Fan Cave features seven flat screen televisions, three of which are side-by-side and calibrated to create one giant screen. There are multiple couches and seating areas, as well as a bar. An artificial turf field serves as the surface, giving the Fan Cave an unmistakable soccer feel. At the unveiling, Horwath was matching up with fans in a video soccer game on the Fan Cave’s gaming system, which was hooked up to the massive three-screen entertainment center.

“It’s unbelievable,” Horwath said when asked about his thoughts of the fan-friendly area. “The TVs, the video game system which is just incredible. And the bar, which I’m sure fans will have fun with.”

“Man Caves” co-hosts Jason Cameron and former NFL star Tony Siragusa led the project, hoping to create the ultimate fan experience. But when they saw the reactions of Horwath and Schneider, it seemed as though the players were wishing it was built for them.

“We want it to not only be an interactive experience, but an intimate experience,” Cameron said. “I’m sure when the fans aren’t around, the players are going to be down here using it as the player’s lounge, which I don’t blame them. It’s cool to have the players come in and put their stamp of approval on this.”

Whether or not the players make use of the Fan Cave on off days, fans will now have a new way to enhance their game day experience.
