The world of red bull soccer

Red Bull Salzburg
The Red Bulls began their season in impressive fashion, easily winning back-to-back games over Leipajas Metlurgs and F.C. Austria Vienna by a combined count of 6-1.

The match against Leipajas held added meaning, as it was being played on the road and was the first leg of UEFA Europa League. Nonetheless, Salzburg dominated the pace of play and emerged with a 4-1 victory. The win puts the Red Bulls into an excellent position to advance on to the third round, as Salzburg heads into the second leg against Leipajas which will be played at Red Bull Arena on July 21.

In their first home game of the season, the Red Bulls carried over their momentum from the win against Leipajas and took down Vienna 2-0. The win marks the first time Salzburg has beaten Vienna at Red Bull Arena over the past two seasons.

Red Bull Coach Ricardo Moniz noted that the confidence derived from the two wins is something that the team can rely on moving forward.

Red Bull Leipzig
With a massive match at Red Bull Arena ahead on July 29 against the Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg in the German Cup, Red Bull Leipzig has announced that ticket sales have surpassed 12,000. Almost all of the lower tier seats have been sold, with some upper deck seating still remaining.

VFL Wolfsburg is one of Budesliga’s premier clubs, which makes the matchup one of the most important in Red Bull Leipzig’s club history. Wolfsburg’s roster is headlined by two Brazilians, striker Grafite and midfielder Diego. Grafite was the 2008-09 Bundesliga player of the year. Considering the pedigree of Wolfsburg along with the ramifications of the German Cup, the match is one of the most highly anticipated matchups in team history.

Red Bull Brasil
Red Bull Brasil began Copa Paulista play on a high note on July 17, when they took down Palmeiras B one-nil at Moisés Lucarelli Stadium. Each team seemed destined to register clean sheets, until midway through the second half when the Red Bull’s Aleílson found striker Nena who buried the ball into the back of the net.

Along with the three points recorded and the clean sheet produced by the Red Bulls’ goalkeeper Fábio, it is worth noting that when the 17-year-old striker Augusto was subbed on in the final minutes of the match, he became the youngest player to ever play for the Red Bull Brasil first team.

The next match for Brasil will come on Sunday, July 24 when the Red Bulls head to Walter Ribeiro Stadium to take on São Bento.

Red Bull Ghana
Summer break is finally ending in Ghana, which means West Africa will soon be seeing a plethora of Red Bull Academy Soccer. Beginning today, both former New York Red Bulls Training Programs Coach Tom Harris and Coach Sipke Hulshoff will begin to acquaint themselves with their new academy players, preparing them for the season ahead.
