Academy Standout Malcolm Dixon Gets United States Under-15 National Team Call

Malcolm Dixon of the Red Bulls Academy has been named to the 20-player roster of the U.S Under-15 Boysā€™ National Team, as announced by head coach Tony Lepore. The U-15 squad will be taking part in the Copa Mexico de Naciones tournament in Mexico City, beginning on June 18th. The United States has been drawn into Group B of the tournament, squaring off against Spain, Colombia, and Costa Rica. Group A is made up of Mexico, Canada, Chile, and Nigeria. The top two teams from each group advance to the semifinals, with the final scheduled for June 24th.

Dixon was one of just three forwards named to the team. This is not the first time the Red Bulls Academy member has been called up for international duty, as he has been a fixture on the squad multiple times. Dixonā€™s most recent performance for the U-15 National Team came in the International Marveld Tournament in Holland, where the team placed fifth out of twelve teams. Dixonā€™s highlight of the tournament came in a 5-0 victory over Feyenoord (Netherlands), where he scored twice.
