HARRISON, NJ (September 24, 2012) – The New York Red Bulls and Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) announced today a new six-year partnership that will continue to make HSS the “Official Hospital of the New York Red Bulls.”

“Ever since we partnered with HSS, we have been more than pleased with the quality of care, service and professionalism they have provided to our players,” said Red Bulls General Manager and Sporting Director Erik Soler. “They are world renowned in the sports orthopedic, musculoskeletal surgery and rehabilitation fields and their prestigious brand is a fantastic fit for the Red Bulls. We are committed to providing our players the best possible care and this extension reinforces that commitment.”

As the Official Hospital of the New York Red Bulls, Riley Williams, M.D., a sports medicine orthopedic surgeon at HSS, will continue his role as Medical Director and Team Orthopedic Surgeon. In addition, the expanded partnership includes in-stadium, at-stadium and broadcast branding opportunities for HSS, as well as working with the Red Bulls to develop grassroots programming and activations such as the New York Red Bulls Skills Challenge.

“Since 2007, the New York Red Bulls have entrusted HSS with their care and we are proud to be the official hospital,” said Louis A. Shapiro, President and CEO of Hospital for Special Surgery. “The Sports Medicine and Shoulder service at HSS is a leader in this field and our physicians provide outstanding specialized orthopedic care to several professional sports teams as well as athletes at any level of talent.”
