In addition to a number of match day initiatives to celebrate Fan Appreciation Day, Saturday’s 7 PM match against Sporting Kansas City will also honor the life of Red Bulls Youth Coach Michael Jones, who was tragically killed in New York City on Oct. 7.

If you wish to pass along your condolences to Jones’ family, you may stop by and sign a memorial book at the Youth Training Programs tent in the Interactive Zone outside the arena on Riverbend Drive starting at 5:30pm.

Prior to kick off, we ask that all fans join us in a minute of celebration and applause to honor Jones, as a photo montage will be shown in memory of his life and all of the work he did in his five-plus years with the Red Bulls’ youth programs.

On the field, Red Bulls players will wear black armbands and the No. 6 on their shorts, the number Jones wore throughout his playing career.

Lastly, Armonk United SC has created a special memorial fund in Jones’ honor. To learn more and to see how you can help, visit www.mikejonesmemorialfund.com.
