Cahill Abroad: A Collection of Tim's Tweets and Photos from the World Cup Qualifiers

New York Red Bulls midfielder Tim Cahill is currently overseas playing for Australia in World Cup qualifying matches. The Australian native is a key component to the team’s success, as Cahill brings valuable veteran experience to the Aussie team as they aim for a bid in the World Cup. The Socceroos last match ended in a heartbreaking 1-1 draw that helped Japan punch its ticket to next summer’s World Cup. Although the match was not the result Cahill wanted, Australia still has an opportunity to secure some points on June 11th vs. Jordan and again on June 18th against Iraq.

In the mean time, when Cahill’s not training with his squad, he’s enjoying every bit of the experience. To no surprise at all, especially if you follow Tim on Twitter and Instagram, Cahill has been very active on social media throughout his whole trip. He is one of the many Red Bulls who are actively engaged on social media platforms, the full list of which is available on Red Bulls Connect.

We’ve documented some of Tim’s travels during World Cup qualifying via his updates. Obviously you can see any and all by following him, but here are just a few highlights:

Tim's always a guy who enjoys spending time with his teammates on and off the pitch, as seen here from the airport alongside a few of his fellow Aussies

Nothing like a great photo with a few supporters after the match.

Come on Tim! Shouldn't all mobile devices be turned off during takeoff

This multiple angle shot covers all of Tim's stops overseas.

After the match, Cahill exchanged jerseys with Japanese midfielder Keisuke Honda who scored the match tying goal in the 1-1 draw.
