On Thursday night, New York Red Bulls General Manager Jerome de Bontin was one of several executives who spent the night on the streets of New York in order to raise awareness and donations for homeless youths as part of the “Sleep-Out: Executive Edition,” organized by Covenant House.

The “Sleep-Out: Executive Edition” gathers business executives to spend a night on the streets.  Offering transitional housing services in 22 cities throughout North America, Covenant House opens their doors to kids in need.
De Bontin raised nearly $8,000 via his fundraising page, breaking the initial $5,000 goal he set. Last year, more than 450 business leaders managed to collectively raise $3,000,000.
“It was a chilly evening but raising these funds to help these homeless children was more than worth it. Covenant House is a tremendous organization, which helps many young men and women get off the streets. It is satisfying to know that my efforts, along with many others, will help the organization,” de Bontin said. “I want to thank those individuals who helped contribute to my fundraising and looking forward to continue supporting the Covenant House for many years to come.”
