HANOVER, NJ (May 11, 2014) - The New York Red Bulls Reserves (1-3-1) fell to the Chicago Fire Reserves, 4-1, on Sunday morning at the Red Bull Training Facility.

The home side enjoyed the majority of possession to start the match but the Fire grew in confidence and it showed when they forced keeper Santiago Castano to make several saves. The visitors broke through with a goal off a corner kick in the 23rd minute with Dilly Duka delivering a precise ball to the head of an onrushing Chris Ritter, who nodded it in.

At the half-hour mark, the Fire broke through again. Left back Gonzalo Segares delivered a cross into the box from the flank that was headed by Matt Watson into the far corner. Before the half, the Fire found their next goal with a well-struck shot on the ground by forward Orr Barouch from the edge of the 18 yard box.

Red Bulls rookie right back RBN Duvall started the match in midfield and blocked a potential fourth for Chicago in the 60th minute. His hard work paid off in the 74th minute when he and forward Andre Akpan countered, playing a nice one-two and finishing with a beautiful chip over the keeper from near the top of the box.

Barouch added a second for himself and a fourth for his team when he followed up a scrum in the box with a nicely angled low shot past Castano into the right corner.

The Red Bulls’ next reserve match is on Saturday, May 31 when they take on USL Pro team Oklahoma City Energy at 8 p.m. at Pribil Stadium in Oklahoma City.
